The new season started for Bramley Town Fc witha home game against Chapel Allerton, Who are strong contenders themselves for this seasons league 1 title. Town got off to a good start when some good neat football carved open the defence of the visitors a shot from the edge of the box was neatly flicked by Scott Kirk into the path of the skipper Richard Manning who calmy slotted home from the edge of the 6 yard box. More good football end to end resulted in chances for both teams but it was Town who scored again shortly after half time with a headed goal from central midfielder Shane Hanson, rising highest in the box to head home a pin point Karras Spaven corner 2.0 Town.
With 15 minutes to go the visitors pulled a goal back after a lengthy spell of football and shots at the Town goal and with just 5 minutes to go the visitors made is 2-2 with a strike from the angle which keeper Jack Bennett had no chance with. So a positive start for Town in their first game in a higher division after winning promotion last season and lots to build on. Next game is away to Holton, can Town pick up 3 points to make it 4 points from 2 games and a very acceptable start to the season?
